HHV-3 Mill

The Modig HHV has been designed as a universal machining center for bar or extrusion components and is the ideal choice for a wide range of industries. The HHV has the capability to machine both Aluminum and Composite components in one single operation or setting.

The HHV 3-Mill was developed in close cooperation with the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer and from its introduction in 2010, it quickly rose to become the first choice of leading aircraft producers. Whether for short runs of modified components or high-volume production, the HHV provides the perfect solution. Providing repeatability and a very fast production rate as the tooling required is of low cost and easily changeable. The benefit of making many small detail parts from the same stick of extrusion or bar is mainly reduced set-up time but also a significantly shortened cycle time for completed parts.

Tests made on bar stock materials by our HHV machine revealed reduced machining time per part of approximately 50% compared with standard three and four axis machining. At one of the world’s leading airplane builders, we measured a reduced processing time of 70%.
